The Comparisonics® Audio Player is a fun and easy-to-use program that lets you play any audio file while viewing its colored waveform display. This program utilizes the Comparisonics sound-matching technology to search for sounds. Select any sound in the waveform display by dragging the mouse over it. You can then automatically locate sounds in the file, and sounds on the Web, that are similar to the selected sound. When searching for sounds on the Web, a Web browser window appears showing the best matches on the Web as determined by FindSounds.com.

The Comparisonics Audio Player Version 2.1 is available for PCs running Microsoft Windows, and Macintosh PowerPCs. The following audio file formats are supported: AIFF, AU, MP3, WAVE, and VOC. The Macintosh version also supports SDII format.
